Nearly 100 people protested against illegal immigration in Torre Pacheco on Tuesday, following four nights of clashes. Several far-right groups called for protests against immigrants on Tuesday night. More than 120 Civil Guard officers were deployed to maintain security in the town. Police have arrested at least 14 people so far in connection with the clashes that erupted on Friday following an assault last week on a man in his 60s. Authorities reported that three Moroccan nationals suspected of involvement in the attack have been arrested, including a 19-year-old man believed to be the main perpetrator. He was arrested Monday night in Gipuzkoa on charges of assault and battery.
