/ mariogonzalezortega Hello President Theoretical Episode No. 5 dedicated to military doctrine The president emphasized that Venezuela is not prepared "to attack anyone." He reaffirmed that "we have the right to defend our dignity and defend the independence process that has now arisen in Venezuela." President Hugo Chávez launched the fifth edition of the "Hello President Theoretical" program, which took place this Thursday at the Army Logistics Command in Fort Tiuna. This time, the President met with participants of the III Joint Command and Staff Course, who presented their final research projects. In the opening minutes of the radio and television program, the president announced that this Friday, July 24, he will be in Cumaná, Sucre state, in eastern Venezuela, for the celebration of the Day of the Bolivarian National Navy and the commemoration of the birth of the Liberator Simón Bolívar. He extended his congratulations to the members of the nation's naval component. The President emphasized that "we are not going to attack anyone." This comes in response to the continuous accusations leveled against the Revolutionary Government. He stated that they accuse him of having a plan to invade Honduras and other similar actions. "They, who are subservient to the bourgeoisie, that thuggish government, can't find anyone else to blame. They say they overthrew Zelaya because of Chávez. Chávez's expansionism, Chavista imperialism," he added ironically, while emphasizing that "in reality, the true empire is there, deeply entrenched, and it is the real threat." He made it clear that "they threaten us, they point the finger at us, they accuse us. We are not preparing to attack anyone, neither Honduras nor anyone else. We are not the aggressors; we are the historically aggressed. For 500 years, the world powers have been attacking us, and now they are going to accuse us of being aggressors. No. We simply have the right to defend our dignity and defend the independence process that has now arisen in Venezuela and has spread—who denies it?—to other nations." http://alopresidente.gob.ve/pagina/2/...
