UK - Sir Nigel Gresley pushes its 75mph to catch up time, 18/11/2025

For various reasons, today's Christmas White Rose to York was already running 45 minutes late when LNER A4 pacific 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" took over the train. The steam crew, though, were clearly determined that there would be no further delays! The A4 past Arksey, north of Doncaster, pushing the locomotive's allowed speed of 75mph (120kph) to the absolute limit. I'll attempt a more accurate speed check at a later time. Recorded on 18th November 2025.
