Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore summer edition - Hands on Review

In this video I give a hands on review of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore summer edition. The Summer edition was originally released in 2017 & is a limited production piece of only 500 pieces ever made. All of these models were produced and sold in 2017 & it is no longer possible to get one directly from AP. This makes this a rare watch. The Summer edition has a 44mm rose gold case, mega tapisseire white dial, with blue and white 2 tone sub dials as well as chronograph and date complications. The white dial is paired beautifully with this white rubber strap. This watch has  AP’s 3126/3840 which, at just 7mm thick contains 365 separate parts and features 59 jewels, with a total power reserve of 50 hours. Unlike similar Offshore Chronograph models, this watch features all rose gold pushers. The summer edition is one of my favourite offshores & it wears beautifully on the wrist. Although it is a large watch at 44mm it is ergonomically designed; I have had it on for over 2 weeks now and Have not noticed its size to be uncomfortable at any point. Unlike other large watches it doesn’t dig into tour hand and wears incredibly well. This is actually the first summer edition I have purchased as I haven’t been offered examples in the money until now. I am glad we purchased this watch as it is a statement piece and a conversation starter. I am retailing this watch for £49,500, with box, papers and both straps. In terms of investment I feel this is a winner for long term capital appreciation due to its scarcity. As I have previously stated, the watch market like all markets is dictated by supply and demand. The supply of this piece is limited globally to 500, therefore it is very restricted and demand for Rose Gold AP is likely to always be there, this will lead to a steady and gradual gain in the price of the AP summer edition.
