Setting the Standards Crucial to Supporting Adaptation of Process Industry Assets to Climate Change

Standards are crucial to adaptation to climate change. John Dora, who plays a central role in their development, will discuss the evolving landscape starting with the ISO 14090 “framework” and 'family' of standards it spawns. This will be followed by developments on structural Eurocodes; CEN/CENELEC work on guidance for standards' users and writers; BS8631 and the Adaptation Pathways concept for dealing with uncertainty; PAS 3090 for Infrastructure Systems; and the Rapid AP Assessment (RAPA) concept.
