Western Lies About Zimbabwe Exposed: What Does Zimbabwe’s Story Teach Africa?

In this episode, I respond to the flood of comments under my video on land theft in Namibia, many of which claimed that taking back land from descendants of colonizers would turn Namibia into a “failed state” like Zimbabwe. These arguments are steeped in propaganda, and I’m here to challenge them with facts, research, and my own experience traveling through Zimbabwe. Western media often portrays Zimbabwe as a collapsed economy due to its controversial land reforms, where white farmers were removed from their land. But my journey through Zimbabwe showed a very different reality. The country is no poorer than others in the region—like Namibia, South Africa, or Zambia—where white settlers still control most fertile farmland. In fact, small-scale Zimbabwean farmers who took over the land after reforms have made significant gains, as research shows. The truth is that Zimbabwe’s economy didn’t collapse because of land reforms but because of illegal sanctions imposed by Western powers. These sanctions were designed to punish Zimbabweans for reclaiming their land and to warn other African nations against doing the same.
