"Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Go Beyond with Synergy." A corporate commercial starring Keiko Kitagawa will begin airing on January 1, 2026. Her brisk walking figure expresses the "power of synergy" that moves our lives forward! A behind-the-scenes video and interview for the new TV commercial, "Connecting Technology, Moving the World," will be released on January 6, 2026! In the new TV commercial, Kitagawa appears walking straight ahead through a simple and stylish white space, declaring, "Go Beyond with Synergy." As she walks, an animated arrow icon begins to move, representing the "power of synergy" that arises from cleverly connecting the diverse technologies and talents that are the strengths of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group. The arrows then ripple out to the various solutions that the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group offers in a wide range of business fields, from sea to land, air, and space. The video impressively showcases how the synergy effects of "Innovative Total Optimization" (ITO), one of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group's management policies, create new value and advance life on this planet. To more clearly express the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group's determination to "advance life on this planet," the space in which Kitagawa is present was composed as simply as possible, with three main colors - the white background, the black of her costume, and the red of the arrow icon - and careful attention paid to camera movement and lighting to create beautiful, dynamic footage. Kitagawa arrived on set dressed in an elegant black jacket and pants, with her hair tied up in a ponytail. She quickly watched the test footage to get a sense of the sequence, and nodded to the director's request that "her expression should be confident when she walks," and stood in front of the camera. In the scene where she looks directly at the camera and says, "Go beyond with synergy," she received detailed instructions for when to say it, such as "on the third step." Kitagawa coordinated with the production staff, who were running alongside her carrying cameras, lighting, and sound equipment, smoothly getting the OK and filming proceeding smoothly from start to finish. In the scene where she looks up at an arrow icon, Kitagawa beamed as she watched a camera suspended from the ceiling rise with its lens pointed at her, exclaiming, "Amazing! I'm so moved!" In another scene, where the arrow icon quickly moves from directly in front of her to overhead, Kitagawa experienced a unique filming style using specialized equipment for the first time. The moment the cut was called, Kitagawa immediately turned around, confirmed the camera's trajectory, and observed the several staff members operating it, muttering, "They're moving it by hand." Watching the playback with the director, who revealed, "It's surprisingly analog," she commented with a smile, "It turned out to be a novel cut."
