DIY Soldering Iron from PENCIL

In this video I show how I turned a pencil into a temporary soldering iron. It works because the graphite of the pencil is conductive. When a current passes through it, it heats up enough to melt solder. This project is for fun and educational purpose (or if you really need to solder something) but the pencil won’t last more than a few solders. I wore safety glasses the entire time and I would not have even thought to attempt this without wearing them. It took a long time to film and edit, please considering subscribing if you enjoyed it!
