Types of Swimming Pool Filters (w/ Justin Caron)

Commercial swimming pools have several different types of filters. In this video, we interview Justin Caron, principal of Aquatic Design Group, and he explains the differences between the filters. As a pool designer, he's an expert on filtration and has seen what works and doesn't work in countless pools around the country. There are basically three types of pool filters: Sand filters, Cartridge Filters, and D.E. Filters. But in commercial pools, it's dominated by two types: sand and D.E. And these D.E. filters are not a typical residential DE filter with grids; they are regenerative DE filters, which are advanced technology, with beautiful water clarity.
