No Turning Back… RV-8 Landing Gear Alignment & Final Drilling

In this episode of the RV-8 build, I temporarily install the Sky Designs blended airfoil main landing gear to precisely align everything before drilling the final mounting holes into the fuselage. This step is critical—once these holes are drilled, there’s no going back. I spent over two hours measuring, adjusting, and re-measuring to dial in proper toe alignment and ensure both gear legs were perfectly square. After final drilling, the gear was removed so I can keep the fuselage on the rotisserie and continue systems installation, including wiring for the ACM.
