Introduction ALMARAH FOUNDATION Almarah Foundation, a non- government organization came into being on June 4th, 2021 with a mission to look after the orphans and adopt children who are deprived of the basic necessities of life. In this regard, the inspiration for the organization was Maj (R) Rasheed Warraich, who spent this whole life serving poor and needy people. The incumbent Chairperson of the foundation, Mrs. Safia Rasheed is the daughter of late Rasheed Warraich, and carrying the legacy of her father. In 2021, Almarah Foundation Pakistan was registered as non-government & non-political organization with a mission to work for the welfare of orphans, unattended and homeless children. To look after the kids as per recognized standards, the foundation gives special attention to the health, hygiene, mental health, education of the kids with sports and entertainment provisions. Almarah foundation has already been registered with following institutions of Pakistan: • Punjab Charity Commission • Ministry of Economic Affairs, Pakistan • Child Protection bureau, Punjab • Local Government, Lahore • Federal Board of Revenue, Pakistan VISION: Healthy, educated, proactive and enlightened youth contributing for the community and nation OUR VALUES: • Inclusion • Care • Empathy • Compassion OUR MISSION: Almarah Foundation is aimed at providing an enabling environment through education and imparting skills to the poor and homeless children to make them a responsible citizen of the country. Another mission of the foundation is to feed the hungry, imparting free education and offering free health services to all.   OUR MILESTONE INITIATIVES 1. PARENT THE ORPHAN PROGRAM: This program revolves around foundations vision that “Every child should be raised with fair treatment, dignity, security, love and compassion” The program commenced in 2021 when a state-of-the-art Orphanage -Adoption Center was started in cavalry ground, Lahore where Almarah Foundation began to provide following in-house facilities to orphans and adopted kids aging from 3 to 09 years: • Shelter • Clothing • Quality Education • Nutritious meals • Healthy & hygienic life The facilities ensured at the houses include: • Furniture and fixers • In house Medical facility • In house education facility • Availability of full-time psychologist • Provision of Quran teacher • Library • Vehicle for transportation • Prayer Hall • Play Ground • Co-Curricular Activities • Educated and trained staff 2. FEED THE HUNGRY PROGRAM: This program is serving society by providing food assistance to the needy and marginalized sections of the population. Currently the foundation is providing meals to 700+ individuals on daily basis. Most of beneficiaries belong to lower income section of society like, daily wages (laborers), security guards, petrol pump operators etc. 3. ORPHAN FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM: The purpose of Orphan Family Support Program is to provide support to the families of those children who lost either one or both of their parents and have lost a vital source of financial support. The OFSP is for the orphan children of underprivileged background. Under this program, the orphan children selected for provision of financial support continue to live with their mothers or a guardian in the case of the death of both parents. This program provides necessary financial support for educational and other day to day expenditures of the household for the orphan children aged 18 or below. The program’s primary focus is women/girls aiming at providing assistance at their door step. Currently, Almarah Foundation is providing monthly ration (Ration Package) and financial (cash) help to 130 families. 4. UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN'S EDUCATION PROGRAM: Almarah foundation has a vision that every child deserves fair treatment, dignity, love and equal opportunities. To provide education to the underprivileged children, the foundation has commenced with an education system by opening a school, Almarah Grammar School, offering education classes initially from Grade 1 to 8. AGS is offering state of the art facilities to the children including a group of trained teachers, professionally designed curriculum, plethora of learning activities, and alluring learning environment.
