Various of bilateral meeting with Iran FM Abbas Araghchi and Swiss FM Ignazio Cassis STORYLINE: U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived for talks on working out key details of the interim agreement to end the Iran war in Obbuergen on Sunday, where the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Switzerland held a bilateral meeting. A team led by Vance, including Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, will meet with Iranian negotiators led by parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir have also arrived in Switzerland for the high-level U.S.-Iran talks, the prime minister’s office said, without providing further details. Vance said he was optimistic about making progress in talks about Iran’s nuclear program and a ceasefire in southern Lebanon. On the eve of the talks, Tehran announced it has closed the Strait of Hormuz again over Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Lebanon.
