After almost 3 months of not filming anything, I was finally able to head to a siren test. So I decided to make it a little special by heading to Mercer County, PA for their system. I ultimately decided on this 3T22 in Wheatland because I haven’t heard a 3T22 for quite some time now so I definitely wanted to hear one again. 10 AM rolls in, nothing happens. 10:05, nothing. So I decided to call dispatch and see what was up. It turns out there was a call and that needed to be dispatched first, which is understandable. They said they will still be testing in a few minutes. So I waited. Unfortunately, the batteries died on my radio while I was waiting, so I had no idea when it would sound. However, a little while later, this siren finally fires up and HOLY CRAP. It took me a few seconds to realize what was going on. I started going crazy in excitement as this siren was never filmed before. Little did I know that this siren was programmed to run in Hi-Lo. It was totally worth the long wait and the hour and a half trip. If I’m being honest, this is definitely my favorite siren test this year and one of my favorite tests of all time. This siren is 100% worth checking out if you’re in the area. At the time I’m typing this, I’m still speechless on what happened.
