Banter Vs Bully: Mental Wellness With Apprentices | Metpro Insights

Construction sites are known for being high-banter environments. Often bringing workers together through laughter and building strong relationships, this behaviour is expected. However, can the banter go too far and what are the impacts to apprentices? In our final segment with Kate Adamczyk from The Electrical Industries Charity, we gain Kate's thoughts on this topic along with learning more about how people can get involved with the work of the EIC. We also discover Kate's key piece of advice for those struggling with their mental wellness. This discussion was incredibly interesting and poignant. Mental health is never an easy topic to cover, in public or in private, but this trend does appear to be shifting. More and more people are beginning to open themselves up and this is a very positive thing indeed. Hopefully this move towards open discussions will continue and in time, the statistics surrounding mental health will paint a much brighter picture. A huge thank you once again to Kate and The EIC for their time and support on this piece and we look forward to our next conversation set for late 2024.
