Medio ambiente mejora las Colonias felinas

The Environment Department is continuously working to improve the appearance and care of the feline colonies in the municipality. Councilwoman Pilar Zúñiga, along with the manager, Manuel de Haro, have visited several of these locations where damage has occurred, either from wild boar or from people who don't understand that this is a mandatory task for the town council. In Bahía de Las Rocas, one of these enclosures has been removed by the Cleaning Department and replaced with a much better-looking and more functional one. It's worth noting that these colonies are part of the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program and are managed by the Manilva Town Council. This management prevents the species from proliferating uncontrollably, reduces nighttime meowing and fights during mating season, creates a cleaner environment thanks to the use of dry food by volunteers, and also provides a natural barrier against rodents and insects. The Environment Department also asks people not to damage the colonies' facilities. It reminds everyone that only authorized volunteers may feed the cats in the designated areas, and requests that everyone respect the volunteers who perform these tasks altruistically.
