In this video I teach my nephew how to make his own foam rocks for his World of Warcraft figures, including how to carve the foam to shape, texture it, and paint it. I used these same techniques for my Star Wars dioramas. It is much easier to do that most people realize. The best way to learn is just to try it yourself. You'll get better the more you practice.
