La CHINCHE ASESINA MATA en silencio

In 1835, Charles Darwin noted in his diary that a large, black insect had attacked him while he slept. He didn't think much of it. Forty-five years later, he died from an illness that no doctor could explain. Today, we know with a high degree of certainty that it was Chagas disease. The kissing bug's disease. The one that doesn't hurt, doesn't produce symptoms, and silently destroys the heart for decades while the victim believes they are perfectly healthy. Eight million people are infected right now. Most don't know it. The treatment exists. And almost no one receives it.
