Racism I Wilgenhof Men's Residence at Stellenbosch University to be closed
Students at the Wilgenhof Men's Residence at Stellenbosch University say they feel abandoned, isolated and discriminated against following the university's decision to close the residence for the 2025 academic year. They've appealed to the University management to engage with them and to rescind the decision to close Wilgenhof. The university council announced the closure last week, months after it emerged that alleged racist and discriminatory practices took place at the residence.
