Cape Town fire and rescue team the 'Destroyers' off to Spain for World Rescue Challenge
The South African national champions in rescue, the Cape Town Destroyers, will travel to Spain to compete against the best in the world. As part of the city of Cape Town's fire and rescue services, the team has been competing in the World Rescue Challenge since 2016, as the only team from Africa. The SABC was invited to see these experts practice and hone their skills in a simulated accident scene, found too often in real life on the country's roads.
