VW T4 Caravelle Van Build Ep2: Insulating and Installing our Plywood Floor

In this episode we first sound proof the van using Dodo ‘Dead’ Mat Hex before insulting it with 2 rolls of 6mm Dodo Super Liner using a heat gun to help the adhesive stick to securely to the van. We then installed our 25mm Red Faced Plywood floor, this is thicker than what most people recommend but as we are attaching our furniture to the floor and not the van we want to make sure it has a strong fixing. We used dowels between the two sheets to make sure they were level and used the existing fixing in the floor from the seats to secure it down.
