The bar is a paradise for sailors and named by its patrons having to leave their sail boats and wade to land to get access to the bar. Later on, Pusser’s Rum placed a patent on the cocktail name, and must be used in all Painkillers. If you do not have any around, you can use any aged rum and it will taste great, but you are no longer drinking a Painkiller anymore! (wink, wink) If you want to sub over-proofed rum, go ahead! I like to throw a little extra rum in mine, and I think the drink works best with an aged rum! Painkiller Recipe: ⚈ 2.5oz (75ml) Aged Rum ⚈ 1.5oz (55ml) Fresh Pineapple Juice ⚈ 1oz (30ml) Cream of Coconut (Coco Lopez) ⚈ .5oz (15ml) Orange Juice ADD ICE AND SHAKE FOR 8-10 SECONDS Strain over ice in a double rocks glass Garnish with pineapple Fronds and fresh ground nutmeg.
