He then cleared the Civil Services Examination and joined the prestigious Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS), dedicating over three decades to strengthening India's systems of governance, auditing, financial accountability, and public administration. After voluntarily retiring as Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General of India in September 2024, he chose to continue serving the nation as Administrative Member, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench—demonstrating that leadership is defined not by titles, but by a lifelong commitment to public service.
