Así REACCIONAN en el Mundo Árabe a la Vacuna del COVID-19 (Análisis de Tweets)

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of public opinion on COVID-19 vaccination in the Arab world through the study of thousands of tweets. To this end, researchers developed and published the first and largest dataset of Arabic-language tweets on this topic, called ArCovidVac, which was manually annotated to categorize information and user stances. The analysis classifies tweets into various categories, such as news, advice, rumors, personal experiences, and users' stance on vaccination (for, against, or neutral). Among the findings, the study explored the popularity of different vaccines, the most frequent topics of conversation, and how specific events, such as the vaccination of a prominent public figure, could positively influence public perception. It also identified conspiracy theories and misinformation circulating online. The importance of this research lies in its ability to provide governments and health organizations with a powerful tool for understanding public opinion in real time. This understanding allows for more effective combating of misinformation, addressing public concerns, and improving communication strategies in public health campaigns, laying the groundwork for future analyses of information dynamics on social media during health crises.
