Making of Exposición permanente en el Museo del Traje

The Costume Museum's galleries temporarily closed a few months ago for renovations. They reopened in October, and the museum staff worked almost tirelessly preparing the new permanent exhibition—a key task in communicating the institution's new narrative. A guided tour led by Juan Gutiérrez, curator and specialist in contemporary fashion and head of 20th-century clothing at the museum, reveals the making of the new display cases for the permanent exhibition. We also speak with Silvia Brasero, a textile restorer, and go inside the volume workshop to see how custom-made mannequins are created for the garments. Don't miss this exclusive visit.
