Agaete is located in the north-west of Gran Canaria and is distinguished by the port of Las Nieves, with a sea connection to Tenerife, and the impressive Roque Partido (Dedo de Dios), a characteristic rock formation. Agaete, once a village of farmers and fishermen, is now a popular tourist destination. The Las Salinas Natural Pools are undoubtedly the most beautiful in Gran Canaria. These three pools are connected by underwater mini-tunnels. They are surrounded by solidified lava and offer beautiful views of the cliffs on the west coast.
