3 Fast & Fearless Abstract Landscape Paintings | Same Colors, Totally Different Vibes

In this video, I’m creating three fast and fearless intuitive abstract landscape paintings in acrylic — each with a 15–20 minute time limit, the same limited color palette, and a messy, layered background to kickstart the creative process. Even with the same paints, each piece ends up with its own totally different vibe. I’ll walk you through my process, starting with random primary color choices — Naphtol Red, Naples Yellow, and Prussian Blue — then adding a couple of extra blues: Winsor Blue (transparent) and Brilliant Blue (semi-opaque), plus Mars Black, Titanium White, and just a touch of Magenta for the second painting. We’ll look at how opaque and transparent paints behave differently, and how to use both to create depth, energy, and movement. You’ll see how I work through the “ugly stage,” stay loose, and make bold, intuitive decisions along the way.
