Jón Páll vs Capes: 1984 Part 2/2 (Slay Push, Arm Wrestling)
Jón Páll Sigmarsson and Geoff Capes battled for the title World Strongest Man for a few years. They were two good friends off the field but on the field they were animals. Their second battle was in 1985 (for the title WSM 1984) in Mora in Sweden. The competition was held at a location where it was freezing and there was snow everywhere. For some of the strongmen these circumstances were new. Jón Páll had trained hard before the competition and he beat Capes and Capes lost his crown. Here we can see the competitors in the slay push and in the arm wrestling. Competitors in WSM 1984: Jón Páll Sigmarsson (Iceland), Ab Wolders (Netherlands), Geoff Capes (Britain), Rudolf Kuster (Germany), Dave Waddington (USA), Daniel Poulin (Canada), Yngve Gustavsson (Sweden) and Pius Ochieng (Kenya)
