Sjögren’s Syndrome, an inflammatory disease that can affect many different parts of the body, but most often the tear and saliva glands, is the topic of a lecture by Sara McCoy, MD, Assistant Professor (CHS), Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. McCoy joined the department in 2016 after completing her MD at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and conducting her residency at Mayo Clinic and fellowship at the University of Michigan. Her research has focused on Sjögren’s Syndrome as well as risk factors for development of cardiovascular disease in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The title of her talk is "Sjögren’s Syndrome: When and Why to Explore the Dry Eye." University of Wisconsin Department of Medicine Grand Rounds are presented throughout the academic year and are intended for health care professionals and medical researchers. Unless otherwise indicated, Grand Rounds occurs in the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital auditorium, Room A1028, Madison, Wisconsin.
