Stephen Barstow’s forest garden (Trondheim, Norway)

Stephen Barstow is an edible garden inspirator and a nestor of the Norwegian Seed Saver organisation, KVANN (https://kvann.no/). He is the author of Around the World in 80 plants, about perennial vegetables for temperate climates and runs the blog https://www.edimentals.com/blog/. In addition to his edible forest garden, he has established the World Garden at Væres Venner Community Garden in Trondheim, and a garden with over 500 different Alliums (onions) at the NTNU Ringve Botanical Garden in Trondheim. The community connected to Stephen and KVANN is a community of growers that maintains old and rare varieties of edible plants, of which many are perennial, contributing to year-round soil cover, and also promoting a larger variety of edible plants for local food security.
