¿Dolor de brazo? El culpable NO es tu hombro (Cervicobraquialgia)
Does your shoulder hurt, and does the pain radiate down your arm or even into your hand? The problem might not actually be in your shoulder, but in your neck. In this video, I'll explain how to differentiate between shoulder and arm pain caused by a cervical injury, nerve irritation, or possible cervicobrachialgia. Many people experience shoulder pain, discomfort that radiates down their arm, tingling, numbness, or even a feeling of weakness, and assume it's all due to a shoulder injury. But when the pain radiates down the arm or into the hand, it's important to consider whether the source might be in the cervical spine. During this video, you'll understand why nerves originating in the neck can cause symptoms in the shoulder, arm, elbow, hand, or fingers. I'll explain in simple terms the relationship between the cervical spine and the arm, what cervicobrachialgia is, and why it doesn't always make sense to treat only the shoulder when the real problem might stem from compression, irritation, or tension in the nervous system. In addition, I'll show you three tests that can help determine if your pain might have a cervical origin. We'll look at the hand-over-head test, a neural tension test for the arm, and the Spurling test, also explaining which of these should be performed by a healthcare professional. These tests don't replace a professional evaluation, but they can give you useful information to better understand what might be happening. We'll also review the warning signs you shouldn't ignore. If you notice a sudden loss of strength, drop objects, experience constant numbness, or have symptoms that don't change with posture or movement, it's important to consult a healthcare professional or go to the emergency room to rule out a more serious problem. At the end of the video, I'll show you two simple exercises to start relieving cervical tension and improving symptoms when the origin may be related to the neck: cervical retraction and a gentle cervical tilt. These are easy exercises to do at home, but they should be performed without intense pain, in a controlled manner, and always respecting your body's sensations. 00:00 Shoulder pain or neck problem? 00:42 Symptoms that can originate in the neck 01:35 What is cervicobrachialgia? 03:15 Test 1: Hand on the head 05:35 Test 2: Neural tension 07:35 Test 3: Spurling 08:35 Warning signs 09:25 Exercise 1: Cervical retraction 10:30 Exercise 2: Cervical tilt 12:05 Conclusion and recommendations 🔴 SUBSCRIBE 👉 https://acortar.link/PjW3I5 👥 WHATSAPP COMMUNITY 👉 https://acortar.link/vyNOPI ⭐️ BECOME A MEMBER 👉 https://acortar.link/92fsnv 📱INSTAGRAM 👉 https://cutt.ly/ujI3hgB 🔔 Turn on notifications To make sure you don't miss any of our videos on exercise and physiotherapy.
