Heavy rains have fallen across Taiwan for three consecutive days, bringing abundant water to reservoirs. For example, Zeng Reservoir saw daily accumulated rainfall exceeding 100 millimeters for two consecutive days, with its water level even surpassing that of Shihmen Reservoir. Shihmen Reservoir also released water yesterday. Statistics show that as many as 11 reservoirs across Taiwan have water levels exceeding 90%, with four reaching 100%. Nanhua Reservoir even experienced overflow. However, the Central Weather Bureau stated that the rainfall will significantly subside after the frontal system moves northward on Sunday.
