Ngizwe Mchunu issues apology to Malema, says there will be no violence on June 30
Cultural activist and media personality, Ngizwe Mchunu has issued a swift public apology to EFF leader, Julius Malema after the High Court in Pretoria issued a warrant for his arrest. Mchunu was found guilty of contempt of court and ordered to issue a public apology following a civil defamation application brought against him by Malema. The case stemmed from remarks Mchunu made outside the Union Buildings in April, where he accused Malema of protecting undocumented migrants and receiving a R60 million payment from Nigerian drug cartels. The incident went viral on social media, prompting legal action. The court ultimately ruled in Malema's favour and ordered Mchunu to publicly retract his statements and apologise. To unpack the matter further, we are now joined by Ngizwe Mchunu. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
