Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this inn’s legacy has only gotten stronger with time. In this season 4 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 401), Richard and Amy are in Westerly, Rhode Island to discover the Weekapaug Inn. Started in 1899, the inn was almost shut down after a natural disaster but was rebuilt by its determined owners with an outpouring of support from the community. Today, the inn is a 4-star attraction offering stunning views of New England scenery as well as delicious food. In this segment, Richard hunts for clams in the salt marshes next to the inn while Amy helps prepare a meal out of fresh farm ingredients.
