I QUIT My Job in HAWAII During the Pandemic

I recently quit my job in Hawaii at the end of 2020 (yes, during the pandemic) for a new employment opportunity. I'll still be working in Hawaii, but I wanted to talk about this career change, especially during the end of 2020. While the economy in Hawaii is still far from recovering, I thought about the risks involved in changing jobs during this time and I'm glad that I was able to make this decision with input from others, like my wife and family. So if you're considering changing your job or career during the pandemic, hopefully this video can encourage you that there are opportunities out there. 📷 IG -   / hello_from_hawaii   Intro - 0:00 Open Discussion - 0:50 Family Decision and Risk - 2:07 Being Too Comfortable - 2:40 Experience Teaching at a University - 4:02 Being Afraid to Learn New Things - 4:43 Lessons from author Flannery O'Connor - 5:45 Hawaii's Tourism Economy - 6:17 Opportunities in This Economic Winter - 7:03 Tips for Changing Jobs in Hawaii - 7:37 The Hardest Part of Leaving My Job - 10:19 Shot on the Canon VIXIA HF G60. #Hawaii #LivingInHawaii #QuittingJob
