Mumbai Rain: Flooding in Andheri, Marine Drive; IMD Issues Yellow Alert | Maharashtra Rain News

Heavy overnight rainfall has drenched Mumbai, causing flooding and waterlogging in several parts of the city, including South Mumbai and the western suburbs. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, forecasting that the rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, will persist. Key areas like Marine Drive and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus area have reported flooding. In Andheri East, the subway has been shut down due to heavy waterlogging, causing inconvenience for commuters. A reporter on the scene noted, "Andheri Subway has been flooded and it has been shut for traffic. But still the water flow, you can see it's a heavy water flow which is going to be seen here." Despite the downpour and a high tide of 3.91 metres, major public transportation, including local trains, continues to operate without significant disruption.
