🔥 Diesel Heater E06 Fan Error – Teardown, Diagnosis & Fix (It’s Running Again!) Diesel heaters are a big part of life at the cabin, and this one has seen years of heavy, multi-day use. When it suddenly threw an E06 fan motor error, I tore it down expecting heavy soot or a failed motor — but the real problem turned out to be something else entirely. In this video, I walk through: Diagnosing an E06 fan error Inspecting the burn chamber (and what surprised me) Testing the fan motor and RPM sensor Discovering heat damage on the circuit board cover Cleaning out a strange white crust buildup Proper fan housing alignment (critical on these units) Reassembly using high-temp RTV Final testing back at the cabin — success! These heaters may be inexpensive, but they’re extremely serviceable and durable if you’re willing to get your hands dirty. This fix brought mine fully back to life and heating the bunkie again.
