চন্দনা হচ্ছে গরিবের ইলিশ। দেশীয় মাছের মধ্যে ইলিশ বাদেও চন্দনা ইলিশ নামে আরেক ধরণের ইলিশ রয়েছে। অনেকে এ মাছকে সার্ডিন, চকোরি বা ফুইট্টা ইলিশ নামেও চেনে। এটি কোনও নদীর মাছ নয়। সাগরে জেলেদের জালে ধরা পড়ে। দেখতে অনেকটাই ইলিশের মতো। এ কারণেই এর নাম ‘চন্দনা ইলিশ’। বিস্তারিত : https://shorturl.at/rRX46 Sandalwood is the poor man's hilsa.
