The thick, organic fuzz and backed-off drive tones associated with the Bender are easy to dial in with the Fuzz Bear's knobs at noon, but start twisting on the top row of Range, Bias, and Sag controls, and you're in for a world of hurt. This trio of tone-shapers can drastically alter the personality of the pedal by making fine adjustments to the amount of signal and voltage the circuit sees, with fat, unhinged saturation on the left, tamer tones in the middle, and thin, splatty sting as you turn the knobs clockwise. These controls are highly interactive, and can quickly unleash the Fuzz Bear's wild side, capable of gated Velcro rip, low-octave sounds, tunable freakout oscillations, random arpeggiations, and more. The pedal is blessed with tremendous output, and a highly sensitive input that can result in a wide range of gain possibilities.
