ACI Africa Webinar From Commitment to Impact Elevating Women in African Aviation

Across Africa’s aviation sector, the conversation around gender equality has gained momentum but the real question remains: what is changing on the ground? This webinar explored how African airports are beginning to translate commitments into tangible progress, from increasing women’s access to opportunities to supporting their progression into leadership roles. It will also examine the role of structured frameworks in moving from intention to accountability. Bringing together perspectives from leading airports and industry leadership, the discussion will focus on what is working, where challenges persist, and what it takes to scale impact across the sector. Rather than revisiting ambitions, this session aims to highlight practical shifts, emerging lessons, and the collective responsibility required to build a more inclusive and representative aviation industry in Africa.
