【法話】幸運をよぶ秘訣 「運命」と「宿命」の違い

Today, I'd like to talk about good fortune. What exactly is "luck?" I've been thinking about this a lot lately. In a radio program on Kamakura FM that started this year, hosted by Murakami Nobuo, Engakuji Temple's Rev. Yokota Nanrei, Rev. Yokota spoke about "luck," saying, "Luck is something that can be attracted." There are two words: "Shukumei" (fate) and "Destiny." They seem to have similar meanings, but since 'Shukumei' resides in life, I think it also has the meaning of "fate." The word 'Destiny' contains the kanji for "to carry," so it feels like something that changes with time. It is said that 'Destiny' can be changed. It is different from 'Destiny.' It is also said that "there is a secret to good fortune." What he means by this is that "good fortune comes to those who are sensitive to good fortune."
