How to use a manual tire bead breaker tool. This type of heavy duty bead breaker works great on tires from cars, vans, trucks or other off-road vehicles. Warning: If you’re using this on alloy wheels, place a piece of rubber or leather between the clamp and the rim to help prevent the wheel being scratched during the bead breaking process. NOTE: In case anyone thinks that the bead was already broken before I started, it wasn't.
