Blackfeet Tribe Pilot Community Tourism
Located in the Tribal Tourism Region, the Blackfeet Nation initiative. Blackfeet Nation plans to use the Pilot Community Tourism Grant to revitalize the township of Browning and surrounding communities on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation for economic development. Blackfeet Nation will create a healthy, attractive and appealing environment for residents and visitors by harnessing the power of community collaboration and people resources. Planned projects include: • Promoting the development of cultural and traditional small businesses. • Ensuring that economic growth is aligned with the preservation and promotion of local heritage and traditions. • Beautification projects to transform the appearance of the environment into one that is inviting and aesthetically pleasing. • Encouraging growth in tourism infrastructure and people-centered development.
