Garden Laboratory Week 12: What Worked, What Failed & A Mystery Bee Swarm 🐝

Welcome to Week 12 of My Garden Laboratory. This week I take you on a full walk around the garden to reflect on what has happened over the past three months. Some experiments have worked exceptionally well. Others have been disappointing. From potatoes and strawberries to no-dig beds, polytunnels, and planting decisions, we look at what has thrived, what struggled, and the lessons emerging from the season so far. But the biggest surprise came from the apiary. An unexpected swarm of honey bees has moved into one of my swarm catcher boxes. Where did these bees come from? One of my beehives ar elsewhere? Join me for an honest mid-season review of successes, setbacks, observations, and a few unanswered questions. Topics covered: 🌱 What worked well after 3 months 🌱 What didn't go according to plan 🍓 Strawberries, potatoes, tunnels and beds 🐝 The mystery swarm discovery 📈 Lessons learned so far 🔬 Continuing the Garden Laboratory experiment If you're growing food, keeping bees, or simply enjoy learning through experimentation, I'd love to hear what has worked—and not worked—in your garden this year. #Gardening #NoDig #KitchenGarden #Polytunnel #Beekeeping #GardenExperiment #GrowYourOwn #Ireland #GardenLaboratory #HoneyBees
