A retired and passionate motorcyclist, I currently ride nearly 30,000 km a year, mostly two-up, and especially on trips. The more I travel, the more I want to go, and further and further afield. Currently, we ride a KTM 890 Adventure, a light, maneuverable, and economical motorcycle, but somewhat limited, particularly in size and carrying capacity. After more than 20,000 km in 6 months, it's time to upgrade to a bike better suited to these long road trips. I've drawn up a list of requirements that has led me to a shortlist of two candidates: the Yamaha 1250 GS Adventure, and its British rival, the Yamaha Tiger 1200 GT Pro. A test ride followed by an analysis of how each model meets my needs. My choice is made. And you? The comments section is open for your opinions.
