Hands-On, Land-Based: Indigenous Foodways in the Classroom

This was our second workshop where Laurie LaBrecque shared how Kâpapâmachakwêw - Wandering Spirit School has embraced Land-Based Learning to create meaningful, hands-on educational experiences for students. Drawing from their journey in traditional Indigenous foodways and their efforts toward self-sufficiency and food sovereignty, this session highlighted practical ways educators can connect curriculum to the land around them.
