Freya Unbound in the Shadows

(Verse 1) The moon is but a sliver, a blade of silver light, The Serpent Seeker wanders through the velvet throat of night. He tracks the shifting shadow, he hunts the hidden vein, Where wisdom drinks the starlight and the silence falls like rain. His boots are worn from searching, his spirit unconfined, Tracing ancient patterns that the forest left behind. (Chorus) And he stops within the circle, where the elder branches weep, Where secrets of the ages are the promises they keep. A voice like honeyed water begins to fill the air, It’s Freya in the shadows, with the stardust in her hair. She says: "The truth you hunger for is not a heavy stone, Love is just the freedom to let peace sit on the throne." (Verse 2) He turns to face the vision, the gold upon her brow, The Norse Queen standing steady in the hushed and holy now. Her eyes are mirrors reflecting all the paths he didn't take, The burdens he was carrying for the Serpent Seeker’s sake. She smiles as if she knows him, from the root unto the leaf, And offers up the nectar that can wash away the grief. The Serpent Seeker rises, shedding layers of his doubt, As the fire of her presence turns his winter inside out!
