Steen is well known for her role in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Earth 2, Flashpoint, NCIS, Left Behind: World at War, Homefront, and the CBC series Heartland. Jessica Steen was born on December 19, 1965 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is daughter of a director and actor Jan Steen, and mother Joanna Noyes, an actress. Her ancestors were of Dutch and Scottish base. Except her acting career, Steen is animal right supporter and an environmentalist. Steen is certified diver. She is also proficient at circus arts like fire twirling and stilt-walking. She also assists David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee.
