Why 2666 Is The Best Book Ever
2666 by Roberto Bolaño is the best book I've ever read and I can't recommend it more. Being one of the best works if not the best work of Latin American literature from the author that also brought us The Savage Detectives, Nazi Literature In The Americas, and By Night In Chile, there is a lot to dissect about this work. The way it creates a literary corpus to bring you into the world inhabited by the fictional mexican city of Santa Teresa and everyone in it, and the way everyone intersects during the course of over a thousand pages paired with the complex reality of crime in Mexico, it all ends up making a delightful reading experience. So consider this a 2666 book review, but also a piece of literary analysis in a modern context overlaying my experience as someone who has lived in Mexico and who found this book when it needed to be found. Booktok and booktube may not be ready for this book, but you should be. #2666 #robertobolaño #latinamericanliterature #literature #booktok #booktube #reading #books #booksreview #bookanalysis #bookreview #bookrecommendations #bookrecs
