America's CRAZIEST Water Park! Mountain Creek | All Waterslides POV

Mountain Creek Resort is located in Vernon, New Jersey, United States. The water park, which was formerly known as Action Park, opened in 1974 as one of the first water parks in the United States. While many of the original Action Park rides have been modified or removed when the park got rebranded (obviously for safety reasons), the ride lineup is still one of the craziest in the US. The park takes advantage of the extremely hilly terrain – all three rapids water slides, one of the drop slides and the Rogue River body slide are situated right on the hillslope, making for unique layouts featuring many unexpected twists and turns. Our favorite was Colorado River which is without a doubt the most intense round-raft ride we have ever done. On the other side of the park, you can find a crazy head-first mat racer water slide which is considerably taller and therefore faster than most modern-day mat racers. Besides these classics, Mountain Creek is also home to a large 100-foot tall slide tower featuring a long trapdoor water slide, a freefall body slide and two tube slides. Right next to it, you can experience a significantly longer tube slide with light and sound effects made by iSlide. For the 2025 season, Mountain Creek opened the two Cannonball Falls drop slides. These have been a crowd's favorite since Action Park opened. Despite not being as crazy as the original slides, the new ones let Action Park's legacy continue in a more safe and controlled way. Besides the park, the resort also features an Alpine Coaster. It is not included with admission, however, water park guests receive a discount on the ride.
