Good afternoon, fellow cruise enthusiasts in general, and those who love river cruises in particular! :) First, let me introduce myself. My name is Alexey, and I've been enjoying cruises for several years now. Even though before this stupid pandemic, I only sailed on seas and oceans, I've long wanted to try river cruises in Russia. :) And now, finally, I have the opportunity to tell you about my first river cruise on the brand-new Mustai Karim! As you probably know, this ship's maiden voyage was scheduled for spring... then, due to the pandemic, it was postponed and was scheduled for August 10th from St. Petersburg to Moscow, but... The ship's first captain (he was immediately dismissed) damaged the ship's propeller and rudder system while clumsily turning, leading to the cancellation of the first two planned voyages. The ship finally took place on August 22nd, sailing from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't make it on the very first cruise and had to go on the second! ))) So, on August 29th, my friend and I finally found ourselves on the Mustai Karim liner! :) We departed from the pier on the English Embankment in St. Petersburg, and our route included: St. Petersburg - Valaam - Mandrogi - Kizhi - Goritsy - Uglich - Moscow. Throughout the cruise, we tried to film the entire ship and the route itself as thoroughly and in detail as possible! And now I want to share with you my full review of the ship and my humble opinion about the ship, its crew, its features, pros and cons! I'd be very happy if my review was useful and interesting to you. And now a few words about what wasn't included in the video due to my forgetfulness... ))) 1. Unfortunately, the route has very short stops... but more on that in future videos. 2. The elevators were very slow and creaky, and on top of that, they often shut off... Also, on our fourth deck, the outer doors of the elevator were severely warped... They closed tightly at the top, but there was a three-centimeter gap at the bottom... I'm afraid this could eventually lead to a breakdown. 3. The smoking areas on the external staircase at the stern of the ship are very uncomfortable. Very cramped. 4. The sun deck was closed very frequently... Half the trip was blocked. :( 5. Passengers completely disregard social distancing and other anti-epidemic measures, and the crew's complete indifference. 6. In the main corridor, at least on deck 4, and in the middle of the ship, there were some suspicious toilet-like odors... But that only happened for the first two days. Then it seemed to disappear. 7. I also didn't notice any towel changes... Maybe they were expecting us to throw them on the floor? )) 8. Cigarettes are not sold on the ship... so stock up in advance! Well, those are minor details... So, let's move on to the review itself! I hope you'll have questions, comments, and criticism!
